Highlights for May:

Friday the 25th, we hosted the annual BBQ; this year, the theme was "Spring into Summer". We had approximately 100 seniors attend this function (compared to 70 last year!), and several members of the City Council stopped by to partake in the festivities as well; in particular, Councilwoman Patricia Riley hosted a "Sing A Long" of patriotic songs, preceding the Memorial Day weekend.

Friday the 11th, we celebrated our May birthdays. We also had a "Mother's Day" lunch, and the seniors enjoyed Johnathan's Chicken Cordon Bleu dish.

Fran reminded everyone that in 1948, Mae Ferrara had won the "Ms. Peekskill" contest and presented a trophy.
