CBHS IPA, a tightly knit group of behavioral health and community based service providers, has been awarded funds from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) to address the impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on residents of the Lower Hudson Valley (Orange, Rockland and Westchester Counties). The purpose of these funds is to get behavioral health care to individuals impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, but lacking insurance coverage.
In order to identify the needs of individuals in our communities, CBHS has launched the ConnexRX Texter. To get started with our easy to use screening, text START to 1-508-88-COVID (1-508-882-6843).
The “Texter” can be prompted by individuals in the community via text or by scanning a barcode. The Texter asks an individual a short series of questions that will assist with identifying challenges they may be experiencing due to the impact COVID-19 has had in their lives. Based on the texts received, CBHS Care Coordinators will contact the individuals and link the individuals with services and supports within our network.
We look forward to working together to provide support and services to the individuals in our community who have been impacted by this ongoing pandemic. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at 1-845-615-9312.
