BID NO. 2014-006 - PARAMOUNT THEATER PAINTING AND MASONRY RESTORATION PROJECT
A. ADVERTISEMENT AND NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Sealed Bids will be received by the City Clerk of the City of Peekskill until 11:00 AM, on August 7, 2014, at City Hall, 840 Main Street, Peekskill, New York 10566. Contract No. 2014-006 includes exterior painting and masonry restoration to a historic building known as the Paramount Theater located at 1008 Brown Street, Peekskill New York 10566.
Copies of the Contract Documents are on file and may be obtained at the Department of Public Works, City Hall, 840 Main Street, Peekskill, New York. These documents may be obtained for a non-refundable fee of fifty dollars ($50.00).
The City is an equal opportunity employer. The Contractor shall comply with all State, Local and Federal hiring practices with respects to the percent of minority workers engaged at the work site. The Contractor is urged to hire local residents. The Contractor shall obtain the names of City residents eligible for employment from the City’s Personnel Office.
As a bid security, each proposal shall be accompanied by a certified check, bid bond or cash in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total amount of the base bid. The bidder to whom a Contract is awarded will be required to furnish performance and payment bonds from an acceptable surety company in the form annexed hereto in the total amount of the Contract.
The City of Peekskill reserves the right to reject any and all bids, or to waive any informalities, irregularities or technicalities in any proposal, should The City deem it to be in the best interest to do so. The contract will be awarded, if at all, to the lowest responsible bidder meeting RFP Specifications as determined by the City of Peekskill.
A mandatory pre-bid inspection will be held onsite for all prospective bidders. This pre-bid inspection will be held on July 29, 2014 at 9:30 a.m.
A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on July 29, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at which time any and all question will be answered.
