Depew Park
Depew Park is home to the City Recreation Office. You can enjoy a swim in Veterans Memorial Pool or walk on the many wooded trails. Enjoy the picnic pavilion overlooking Lake Mitchell or play a game of horseshoes at the horseshoe court. There is also a basketball court, tennis courts, a bocce ball court and a playground. Depew Park is also home of the Mother Nature's Preschool next to the pool parking lot.
Depew Park is currently undergoing construction on the main field and one of the clay tennis courts. Construction will be ongoing throughout the summer, into the fall and possibly winter. When finished we will have an improved multi sport field with new irrigation, an asphalt track around the field, and Ecua Volleyball Court at the north end. The clay tennis court will be converted to 4 pickleball courts. The court will have screens on the Hudson Ave end to help dampen the sound. The courts will only be open during regular park hours - sunrise to sunset.
All the work is thanks to a New York State SAM grant that was sponsored by State Assemblywoman Sandy Galef when she was in office.
The facilities are scheduled to reopen next spring.
We thank you for your patience and understanding during the construction down time.
