For Peekskill, the grievance period each year is June 1st to the 3rd Tuesday in June. When June 1st falls on a weekend, this period will be from the following Monday, June 2nd or 3rd to June 17th or 18th.
Complaints on Assessment (grievance forms) are not accepted before the publishing of the tentative assessment roll (June 2nd) or after Grievance Day (June 17th).
Grievance Day is always the 3rd Tuesday in June (June 15th, 2022). You do not need to appear before the Board of Assessment Review, but if you would like the board to hear your case, you can set up an appointment with the Assessment Office after June 1st. You can also walk in during the posted hours, but you may have to wait. Hours will be posted at a later date.
