On Thursday, June 9th, P.A.T. held their annual Community Health Fair and Fish Fry.  Health Fair vendors lined up all along Main Street and then moved inside the Youth Bureau due to the weather.  Free eye exams and other health screenings were available, along with health information, and giveaways.  A great local DJ was playing great music the whole time, and there were free fish sandwiches for all attendees.

On Wednesday, May 18th, we had our 9th Annual P.A.T. Prayer Breakfast.  Rev. Dr. W. Darin Moore was a wonderful Keynote Speaker, and other community leaders took the mic to say some inspirational words as well.

As of January 1st 2011, P.A.T. has distributed more than 63,000 pounds of food to Peekskill residents, saving the community over $100,000!

Saturday, January 15th was the Martin Luther King Jr. DAY OF SERVICE - "A Day On, Not A Day Off." Community and corporate volunteers from all walks of life gathered to celebrate the life of Dr. King through volunteer service. Volunteers helped to serve lunch at the Salvation Army, cleaned at the Firehouse, hosted a tea party for seniors, helped to paint inside the Youth Bureau, made a Valentine's Day card for our soldiers overseas. We also had a very successful Cellphone Drive, and Diaper Drive.

The American Medicine Chest Challenge took place on Saturday November 13th! The AMMC is a national, community-based public health initiative, with law enforcement partnership, designed to raise awareness about the dangers of prescription drug abuse and provide a day and location for disposal of unused, unwanted, and expired medicine. Peekskill's site at the local Police Station collected over thirteen pounds of used and expired medications!

On Tuesday, August 3rd, Peekskill participated in National Night Out: a national drug and crime prevention event. This was a successful event down at the Riverfront.
