The City of Peekskill Emergency Management Office (PEMO) has created a innovative system to keep citizens informed before, during and after incidents, storms and other emergencies affecting the City. This system is be able to send text based messages to email addresses and text capable cell phones of all members of the public who sign up for this program. Our Emergency Management Staff are also be able to update citizens directly from the field.
This program is intended to supplement information you will receive from television, radio and other sources. However, it should not replace individual and family emergency planning. In addition, situations may arise where direct communication from PEMO is not possible or practical.
Citizens should be aware that it can take up to 48 hours for your registration request to become active in our system and for your to start receiving messages. Citizens should be aware that you will be charged by your wireless carrier based on your wireless text messaging plan.
