The City of Peekskill’s Office of Economic Development (OED) will hold a Walking Tour of the available Artist Live/Work Lofts . During this tour you will have an ability to see (as of today) 6 available lofts for rent and meet the property owners to ask questions and find out additional information on the space. As of today, this tour will include one unit at 906 South Street, two units at 8 South Division Street currently under construction which will be ready for occupancy on March 1, 2010, 25 N. Division Street, and 1134 Main Street.

In addition, to the existing rentals, we may be able to view one coop that is available in The Peekskill Arts Lofts. To reside in the coop, you not only need to meet the city’s Artist Certification Requirement, but also meet income eligibility requirements. The Peekskill Art Lofts are a 28 unit complex built in 2002.

OED will also provide you with information and the application for the Artist Certification through the City of Peekskill.

We will meet in Peekskill City Hall’s First Floor Lobby, 840 Main Street, Peekskill, NY at 2:00 p.m. and take a walking tour of the sites. Each owner/representative has agreed to be there so you can efficiently see if Peekskill is some place you would like to live and work.
