Wheelabrator Westchester, L.P., today announces it has adopted the four-mile stretch of Route 9 in Peekskill to support the CLEAN (Committing to Litter Enforcement and Adopting Neighborhoods) Peekskill Initiative and the state's Adopt-A-Highway program. The CLEAN Peekskill Initiative, led by Councilwoman Drew Claxton and resident Jo Cunningham, has been aggressively working over the past several months to tackle long-standing quality of life issues such as litter.
