When it comes to quality of life Peekskill has few peers. The city offers a diverse array of housing opportunities. These include everything from artist live/work lofts in the downtown, to single family homes in historic neighborhoods, to new condomimium and townhome developments (see Riverbend pictured to the left). Many residential options are within walking distance to Peekskill's Metro North Train Station.

According to the NYS Office of Real Property Services in 2007, the median sale price for a single family home in Peekskill was $360,000.
