Rose, his wife for 30 years, died in April 2003 after a long fight with cancer. Son Damon, a graduate of Morgan University and ROTC in Baltimore, is a First Lieutenant in the US Army, stationed in Korea. Damon and his wife Althea are the parents of 2 year old Michaela.

Born in Baltimore Md, graduated from Edmondson High in 1968 and attended Baltimore Community College.
Arrived in Westchester in 1984 as manager of Steinbach department store in Peekskill
Moved to Peekskill in January 1997 residing at 326 Nelson Ave.
