I am the youngest of six children and was born and raised in Mount Vernon, New York. I have worked in the health care industry for 25 years, starting out as a billing file clerk in the Department of Radiology at Westchester Medical Center and working my way up through the ranks to Director of Billing. I am currently the Director of Medical Billing Services for BTQ Financial, a NYC financial management firm, many of whose clients are non-profit community service organizations.
I bought a condominium in the Woods III in 1995 because I fell in love with the majestic views from the Peekskill riverfront, and because I loved the diversity of Peekskill and the fact that it offered the cultural aspects of a city but the feel of a small, close knit community. In 2001 I built a house here because I knew that Peekskill was where I wanted to spend the rest of my life.
Working as a volunteer during the last presidential campaign made me realize that real change happens when everyday citizens get involved on a community level. It was that experience that made me decide to get involved in trying to help Peekskill find its voice and go from Westchester’s hidden jewel to the model community for the 21st century.
I am humbled by the notion that the people of Peekskill have put their faith in me to help make our city the place we all envision. A city of inclusion, with economic stability, that nurtures its youth and embraces its seniors. I see a clean, safe city whose beauty and rich history beckons visitors.
I will work hard for all the people of Peekskill. I will always listen to what they have to say. And I promise to be a councilwoman they can be proud of.

Community: Peekskill Human Relations Commission 2008-2009, parishioner at the Church of the Holy Spirit, supporter of the Paramount Center, Teatown Lake Reservation, and The Delaware Valley Raptor Center. I am a regular blood and platelet donor to the New York Blood Center in Elmsford.
