The City of Peekskill and design consultant Lochner Engineering, P.C. will present preliminary plans for upgrades to Route 6 (East Main Street) between High Street and Hamilton Avenue at a public meeting on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. in the Nutrition Dining Room at the Neighborhood Center, 4 Nelson Avenue. The goals of this federally-funded construction project are to increase pedestrian safety and to improve the aesthetics of this major gateway into downtown. All are invited to attend to ask questions and to comment on preliminary concepts.
The City of Peekskill is soliciting proposals from environmental engineers licensed in the State of New York to conduct a site investigation to update the Closure Investigation Report for contiguous City owned parcels located in the City of Peekskill, Westchester County, New York.
Royal Properties, Inc. (“Royal”) on behalf of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, a New York public benefit corporation (“MTA”), is soliciting Proposals (“Proposals”) for the net lease of the Peekskill Station Building (the “Site”). The MTA is in contract with Royal, a private firm that has exclusive rights to market the Site on behalf of the MTA. Royal will provide property information on the Site to interested parties, perform site visits and manage the Request for Proposals process for the MTA.
The Conservation Advisory Council (CAC) was established in 2011 by the City of Peekskill Common Council to help build awareness and support for the management and protection of Peekskill’s natural resources and parks.
The CAC is charged with the following responsibilities, among others:
• To keep an inventory and map of all open areas and wetland areas within the City of Peekskill for the purpose of advising on ecologically suitable uses of these areas.
• To cooperate with other official City bodies active in the area of community planning.
